Before Christmas I was out and about in my local Town and came across this guy with a football. Expecting great things I decided to stop and take some video. The way the guy was acting it looked like something special was going to happen.

Unfortunately nothing much happened but I did put that down to the weather, you can probably tell from the sound and the way the leaves are blown that it was a very windy day.

I gave up waiting for the tricks but on my way back I took the following video catching a lady who obviously felt sorry for him, she dropped some coins in his tin.

It was quite windy and he managed a fair few keep em ups, nothing to break any World Records mind you and he makes a bit of hash of the trick at the end, though with the wind I gave him a bit of slack on that.

A few minutes later he started a balancing ball trick on the floor, he was doing quite well until the wind struck and he lost control. After that he went back into his warm up ritual and I didn't stay any longer to find out what trick he attempted next. I dropped him some change for the effort, it was a cold and windy day.

I was back in the Town centre last week and to my surprise the football man was back. It was a calm day so I was hopeful of some great skills, however he just went through the same routine and I gave up waiting for the action.

I am intrigued if the warm up is part of the act or not, felt a bit sorry for the guy since he was wearing the same clothes as before and is probably sleeping rough. A former player fallen on rough times? or he came up with this routine to make money? A few people stopped to watch but with little action a lot of them left like I did. It occurred to me later that he might not start tricks until some coins are deposited. Reviewing the footage I noticed that he only started doing tricks when the lady game him some money. I may go back into Town to test this theory out. When I left him coins the first time I never stopped to see if he went into trick mode.
